Escola de Desenho Inconvencional

The Escola de Desenho Incon­ven­cional (School of Uncon­ven­tion­al Drawing) invites par­tic­i­pants to explore the auditory landscape of the Gaalgebierg Park through a unique workshop and instal­la­tion. Think of these moments like tuning into different radio stations, where we listen to and capture the park’s sounds. 

We’ll record the sounds of nature — par­tic­u­lar­ly plants — and transform them into visual art. This could involve scratching images onto paper or creating digital rep­re­sen­ta­tions of sound waves. The workshop combines art, science, and technology to evoke new sensations and ways of expe­ri­enc­ing the natural world. 

Through this process, we’ll feel, touch, and draw the sounds of the plants, revealing their growth and vitality. Par­tic­i­pants will learn to think about drawing and listening in uncon­ven­tion­al ways, uncovering fresh per­spec­tives on plants as sensitive, communicative beings.
